Red Celosia (also called Cockscomb or Flame Flower) is a vibrant and eye-catching annual flower known for its bold red blooms and unique, velvety texture. It thrives in warm weather and can add a stunning burst of color to your garden.
Planting Tips:
Start Indoors (Optional):
- Start seeds indoors 6–8 weeks before the last frost if you live in a cooler climate.
- Transplant seedlings after danger of frost has passed.
Direct Sowing:
- In warmer regions, sow seeds directly in the ground after the last frost.
- Celosia loves heat.
Watering Tips
- Keep soil evenly moist during germination and early growth.
- Once established, water when the top inch of soil feels dry.
- Avoid overhead watering to prevent fungal diseases — water at the base of the plant.
