Homemade Lemon Ginger Pickle Recipe
Ingredients
- 2 kg lemons
- 100 gm chili powder
- 50 gm fenugreek powder
- 20 gm mustard powder 5
- 50 gm turmeric
- 200 gm salt
- 5 gm asafoetida
- 50 gm ginger
- 50 gm fresh turmeric
- 50 gm mango turmeric (ambehalad) (this is a whitish looking root like turmeric, with the flavor of raw mango).

Method
Cut 1 kg lemon in eight pieces. Take a clean jar and spread a handful of the masala (spices)at the bottom. Mix the masala (spices) and the lemon pieces and fill in the jar. On the third day, wash and wipe the ginger and turmeric thoroughly dry. Peel and cut into 1/8 inch thick small slices. Take out the juice of 1 kg lemons. Mix these slices and lemon juice in the pickle. Keep stirring every third day for six weeks.
