Cabbage Rolls
You will need –
- 16 cabbage leaves (2 per person)
- 2 or 3 medium sized potatoes
- boiled and mashed coarsely
- 1 tblsp. grated cheese
- 1 medium sized onion finely minced
- 1 tblsp. chopped coriander leaves
- 1 tblsp. chopped mint leaves
- salt and chili powder to taste
- 4 tblsp. gram flour
- salt and chili powder to taste
- a pinch of turmeric
- Oil for frying.
Method:
- Dip the cabbage leaves in boiling water for a minute or so. Remove and take out the thicker veins with a sharp knife, taking care to keep the leaf intact.
- Make a thick batter with the gram flour, salt and chili powder.
- Mix rest of the ingredients well. Put some mixture on a cabbage leaf and fold into a roll. Dip in the batter and deep fry. Serve hot.
