Carrot Preserve
Key Ingredients
- 2 Kg small fresh carrots
- 1 Kg Sugar
- 1/2 tbsp Citric Acid(preservative to give jam a longer life)
Direction
- Cut carrots into 2 strips.
- Boil in 1/2 liter water until half done.
- Drain out the water and keep it aside.
- Spread carrots out to cool.
- Make a thick syrup of sugar and carrot water.
- Add citric acid and cook till syrup thickens.
- Add carrots and cook for 10 minutes or till carrots get coated with the sugar.
- Turn mixture out onto a tray and allow to cool.
- Then fill into jar.
