Stuffed Paneer Bhature
Serves 4
Ingredients
- 2 cups (250 gms) maida (plain flour)
- 1 cup (100 gms) suji (semolina)
- 1/2 tsp soda-bicarb
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1/2 cup sour curd (approx)
- oil for deep frying
Filling
- 75 gms paneer – mashed
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 3/4 tsp red chilli pd.
- 1/2 tsp garam masala
Recipe
- Soak suji in water, which is just enough to cover it.
- Sift salt, soda and maida. Add sugar, curd and the soaked suji. Knead with enough warm water to make dough of rolling consistency.
- Knead again with greased hands till the dough is smooth.
- Brush the dough with oil.
- Keep the dough in greased polythene and keep it in a warm place for 3-4 hrs.
- Make 8-10 balls. Roll out, put 1 tsp of filling. Cover the filling with the dough to form a ball again.
- Roll each ball to an oblong shape and deep fry in hot oil.
